Doug Stanton's national best seller Horse Soldiers topped our hardcover non-fiction charts thanks to his local Traverse City connections and a huge supply of signed books.
Coming in second was the U.S. Constitution. We don't have signed copies of those, but we keep it by the counter where it gets picked up by members of all political persuasions, convinced that no one else understands it. The Declaration of independence made the list at number 6.
Bob Butz appeared here at Brilliant Books back in June as part of our Friday Nights at Brilliant Books series. Since then his collection of insights and essays An Uncrowded Place has resonated with the good people of Leelanau, hitting number 3.
The Third Coast chronicles Ted McClelland's 10,000-mile "Great Lakes Circle Tour". Suttons Bay and some of it's sights, stores and residents are featured. Alas, not our little store. We weren't open when Ted did his tour.
Mario Batali kindly signed copies of all his books for us and they have sold fabulously all year. Spain...A Culinary Road Trip coming in at number 5 and Italian Grill at number 11. Thanks, Mario!
