Robert Underhill Robert is one of Leelanau's most popular local authors. His books are consistent best sellers. He has fans amongst locals and visitors alike.

Robert is a psychiatrist/psychoanalyst. He practiced in Bloomfield Hills, MI for 33 yrs, while also Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Wayne State University School of Medicine and on the faculty of the Michigan Psychoanalytic Institute.

He is also the driving force behind the Beyond the Bay series of foreign movies shown at Suttons Bay's Bay Theater.
