Happy Banned Books week!
This week sheds light on the literature that has been challenged and banned across the country.
For various reasons across history, many books have been taken off of shelves and out of classrooms. Right now, we're in an explosion of book banning — especially of books containing antiracist and LGBTQIA themes. Texas has been a hotspot for book censorship, with a recent report showing 801 bans across 22 school districts, but it's happening all over the country.
To start conversations and encourage the reading and discussion of these challenged books, we've put together a Banned Books Bingo for Young Readers!
