Books I'm Excited About
New year, new books to be excited about! From new releases from some of my favorite authors to some really unique debuts, here's a list of all of the books I can't wait to get my hands on in the first half of 2021.

I could not be more excited about a romance book if I tried. After how much I loved Red, White, and Royal Blue, I would read a phone book if it had Casey McQuiston's name on the cover.

This is a queer YA thriller set in an underground art scene and inspired by The Picture of Dorian Gray. Need I say more?

I love a good spooky house story. Add on an even spookier town and I'm set!
Even if I didn't already love Katie Henry, the fact that this is pitched as "The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel comes to High School" would've made me pick this one up right away! I'm about 100 pages into this at the moment and already really liking it!

I've been on a really big alternative history kick at the moment and this sounds SO fun.

I'm a simple girl. A book looks weird? I'm probably in. This looks bizarre in every possible way and I could not be more excited.

Courtney Summers' last book Sadie is still one of the best YA thrillers I've ever read. Now she's tackling cults and I need to read this immediately.

Anyone who's had any conversation with me ever probably knows that David Arnold's Mosquitoland is my favorite book of all time. This looks so strange and fun and I can't wait to dive in because I'm pretty sure I'm going to absolutely love it.

A trope that I really love, but don't talk about much is the sort of secret society/elite club turned deadly plot. This one, which seems extra dark and twisty, fits perfectly in that niche.

I. Loved. Beach Read. I adored Beach Read. If this is even half as good as Beach Read was I'm going to be a very happy camper indeed.

Again, if you've ever had a conversation with me, you'll probably know that I'm mildly obsessed with Maggie Steifvater's Raven Cycle and these spin offs have NOT disappointed in any way. This one comes out just before my birthday, so I think we can all guess how my day will be spent.

I just recently heard about this one but oh wow am I excited. Again, secret society dark academia vibes, but by Alex Michaelides, who wrote The Silent Patient. It's going to be great, I can feel it in my soul.
