Puzzles gondola

Look at our new puzzles display!  Isn't she beautiful?

Similar to the games gondola we added last year, this new display lets us expand our puzzles section—and gives customers more room to browse.

Swing by the store to check it out, or check out our puzzle collection online.  (It's still full of awesome puzzles, even if you don't get the full gondola experience).

StorefrontHappy National Small Business Week!  There are so many reasons to celebrate small businesses.  To name just a few:

• We're part of a vibrant community, and are invested in local economies & initiatives.
• We encourage employees to play to their strengths and interests, rather than fitting a job description.
• We get to know our customers by name (and reading preference!)

But as much as we love being a small business, it's true: being small has its challenges.

Lately, we've been reflecting on what it means to be a small business that survived the pandemic.  Read our latest article to learn more about how the pandemic is still impacting us, how we're feeling going forward, and how you can continue to support us.

Art Walk 2022

Rebecca Howe paintingThis Friday, Traverse City is once again celebrating local artists with Art Walk!  Downtown businesses are bringing in all kinds of visual & musical artists to highlight our town's vibrant arts community.

There will be tons to do, including live music at multiple locations—and it looks like we'll have great weather for the occasion!  Head downtown this Friday (May 6) from 4-7pm to join in the festivities.

At Brilliant Books, we're excited to host painter and multimedia artist Rebecca Howe.  Drop by between 4 and 7pm to browse books, art, and watch Rebecca's creative process in a live demonstration!  Rebecca's art (both originals and prints) will also be available for purchase.

Want to learn more about Art Walk?  Find more details (and an interview with Rebecca!) below.
