Celebrate Spring!

Tuesday, April 21st, 2020

Looking out the window today here in Northern Michigan, you might not believe Spring is happening under that fresh layer of snow. But it is! Bulbs are popping, trees are budding, and as the new snow melts, the grass revealed underneath is just a little bit greener. Many are even working and preparing their own gardens, cleaning out their vegetable beds in preparation for those seedlings they are patiently waiting to sprout.

Help your little ones celebrate and welcome Spring and new growth with this collection of picture books and chapter books dedicated to all things growing and green.

Thank You, Teachers!

Wednesday, April 8th, 2020

Across the country, including right here in Michigan, students have seen their school years upended, but that hasn't stopped teachers from working hard to make sure their learning continues.  We've seen so many fantastic ideas, from schools sending gift certificates to students so they can pick out books to read for themselves, to secret-Santa-style "You've Been Booked!" boxes delivered anonymously straight to students' doorsteps.  If you are a teacher, school administrator, or someone who knows of a young reader who's in need and would like to help, please reach out to us.  We'll do whatever we can to make sure our young readers have books.
