Currently Reading: Kendall's Stack
As it currently stands, I'm 11 books into 2021. I get asked quite a bit how I read so much, and the short answer is just....audiobooks. But also, I'm almost never reading less than three books at any given moment. I'm a firm believer that you should have different books for different moods. That way, when you sit down to read at the end of the night, there's always going to be something that you're excited to dive back into. Right now, I'm taking my own advice a little too seriously and have quite a few books on the go. So, here's what I'm currently reading (and just finished).
I may not have been the biggest Divergent fan, but I'm always curious to see what Veronica Roth is going to do next. I'm finding this look at the "chosen ones" years after their quest quite interesting, but pretty slow moving, so I'm glad I have a few other options to pick up when I'm in need of something quicker.
This one I've literally just started last night, but I'm REALLY interested to see where it's going to go. Like Veronica Roth, Alexandra Bracken was an author I read a lot of in middle and high school, and I think this modern mythology-based fantasy could be really fun.
Since I was just talking about my most anticipated releases, I thought I should update that I've just finished this one, and it was just as great as I was hoping. Katie Henry's ability to blend humor and emotion in this story is just perfect. Definitely going to be one I recommend moving forward,
What a strange little book this is. I'm only about 50 pages in, but truly, what a strange little book.
In preparation for our upcoming event, I'm planning on diving into Muse in the next day or two and could not be more excited. As a history nerd myself, I'm really into alternate histories at the moment.
I'm actually between audiobooks at the moment, but I'm planning on pickup up Middlegame this weekend! This is a book I'm sure I'm going to absolutely love as it's exactly my brand of weird, but I'm also very intimidated by it for some reason. Will report back!
