Poetry in Michigan / Michigan in Poetry Reading
Poetry in Michigan / Michigan in Poetry
Edited by William Olsen and Jack RidlSaturday, November 30th at 7 - 9pm
Please join us as we host Michigan poets for reading from the stunning new collection, Poetry in Michigan / Michigan in Poetry.
This anthology gathers an intriguing range of poets, their visions and voices. The poems as a whole, in one way or another, explore the variances in Michigan landscape; shoreline; lives lived in the city, town, and countryside; our uncommon diversity of cultures, points of view, concerns, celebrations, losses, and histories. This book also features artwork that focuses on Michigan. The poems and art are mingled in a way that will not reduce the art to illustration, nor the poetry to commentary. Each piece, poem and artwork, stands alone in its presentation.
Several of the contributors will be reading, signing their work, and answering your questions in our famously intimate atmosphere, complete with Brilliante Sparkling Wine and award-winning raclette from Leelanau Cheese.
