Cameron Witbeck on And Here:

"Knowing the U.P. is like knowing a secret. That's part of its unspoiled appeal. But there are times when the sun rises over Superior, a moose saunters past your campsite, or you catch the scent of a birchwood fire downwind when you think, 'This is too good not to share.'

That's what And Here is. In one book, for the very first time, you can get a sense of what the U.P. has meant to some of the most talented writers and storytellers I have ever had the pleasure to share a table of contents with. From Annishinaabe songs and Hemingway short stories to some of the most gorgeous lyric poems ever written when it was 20 below out, And Here is a thing of true and haunting beauty. And reading it is like being told a secret that was just too good not to share."
