TCAPS Libraries Diverse Authors Book Fair: Middle School
Thank you for helping to support diverse middle school library collections throughout the TCAPS district. Now that you have clicked the book fair link, 25% of any purchase you make supports TCAPS middle school libraries. All funds from this book fair will go toward purchasing books and educational materials from diverse authors.
The books below represent a starting point for young readers age 8-12 who are exploring diverse literature. The list featurs BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) authors whose stories offer a glimpse at diverse experiences, perspectives, and cultures. The list will continue to evolve and grow as new books are released.
You do not need to have a child enrolled in TCAPS to take part in this book fair. In fact, it is open to all customers of all ages! Additionally, the book fair is not limited to these featured titles. Any purchase you make before closing this browser window will support the TCAPS Libraries Diverse Authors Book Fair.
How it works
You can shop as you usually would, navigating the site to buy books, literary apparel and accessories, mugs, journals, stationery, & more, all in support of the TCAPS Libraries Diverse Authors Book Fair! Please note that only online orders are eligible for this virtual book fair.
What purchases are eligible?
Almost all of them! Any purchase you make online after clicking the "Shop Now" button above will earn money for the library. The only exceptions are Brilliant Books Monthly subscriptions, Brilliant Books Memberships, and textbooks.
Other things I should know?
If you are a Brilliant Books Member, please note that your automatic discounts will be removed from book fair orders, since that discount is being passed along to the TCAPS libraries as a 25% donation. Similarly, to maximize the amount that can be donated to the library, our standard free shipping is not available for these orders. They will be available for in-store pick up, or can be shipped for a small fee (select "Book Fair Shipping" at checkout). If you do not select a paid shipping option, the costs of free shipping must be deducted from the total donation your order provides, so please make sure to select the correct option at checkout!
